Everybody's missing the real story that will come out over the next few hours. Yes, New Orleans is bad, but the Mississippi coast is *gone* in the truest since of the word. Jim Cantore is reporting a 37ft storm surge. Last report from the immediate coast was that the 2nd floor of the Beau Rivage was going under. You can a recount of Cantore's report on weather.com under the WeatherBlog.

The surge will be a new North American record.

New Orleans. Maybe if they weren't so busy taking off their shirts for beads and prayed once in a while this wouldn't have happened... They were smote by the Lord God. Repent ye sinners!!

and when the whole city of San Francisco was leveled by earthquake and fires in 1906, im sure there were people who thought that the city would never recover, even in a time like that without FEMA and what not...dont underestimate the power of the most powerful government in the world.

Biblical? Some interesting facts:
-What is New Orleans famous for? -Mardi Gras
-What is Mardi Gras? -Celebration on Fat Tuesday
-What is Fat Tues.? -A day of wild sinning before Ash Wednesday, the start of the time of repentance, which the bible says people should do anyway.
-N.O. is also an important oil port. God is reducing our oil supply before armageddon!

I'm not a bible freak but it seems like the end is nigh!

Hollywood is next... 9.5 earthquake?
