Re: JJ overpair OOP - 2 callers on Flop
I often see 45 pushing when you bet 100 if they are planning on calling. Not sure why.

Thanks for the replies.
Probably I butchered this one. I checked, planning to fold to something like bet/raise or strong bet/call and pushing any weak bet. Re: RESULTS
Ugh. Protect your hand, man. No reason to think you're beat just from 2 calls on this very draw heavy flop. Much more likely to be against two draws. Or a draw and a worse pair. I'm definitely blasting away on the turn. Too short to get away if you're beat.

Re: RESULTS
I dont think the flop is draw heave. its 234. Only real draw is someone with a 5 in their hand. Doesnt the PSB on the flop protect that enough?

Re: RESULTS
Anyone with an ace has at least 7 outs and quite possibly 10. And on the turn, they could pick up a diamond draw.

Re: JJ overpair OOP - 2 callers on Flop
I think with this level of players your best bet would be to make a probe bet of about half the pot. It's a form of small ball. I don't see how anyone can really raise you in this spot unless they have you beaten or are ultra aggessive. A bet of that size doesn't really pot commit you and it helps define your hand and the hands you are against.

But note that while the actual holdings are about the best what I could hope for if we bring the money in now, I am still just a bit more than 40% to win the pot. Add the scenarios, where I am toast and I don't think there is much room to blunder big, whatever I do here. |

the actual holdings are about the best what I could hope [/ QUOTE ] This is not true. Could easily be something like 75 and TT. And then you check, TT bets, 75 calls, you fold because you 'must be beat' and lose a nice big pot for no reason. |
