Red Cross New Orleans Survivor Database
Hi,
I've heard that the Red Cross has assembled an online database of the New Orleans survivors that have been rescued and where they were taken. I need to search it for a few names, but I'm having trouble finding it. I figured if I posted it on here, some people might be able to find it before I can. Ed |

Re: Red Cross New Orleans Survivor Database
I'm not sure how accurate this stuff is. Most of the numbers that I attempted to dial last night were not operating.
If it makes any difference, my family was unable to reach my stepfather for two days, and he was in the sort of situation where we assumed he'd have the most access to communication. There's just simply no way to get through. Have you tried texting their cell phone? This seems to work even if you can't connect with a call. Official Search and Rescue at the Office of Emergency Preparedness 225-925-7708 or 7709 or 3511or 7428 (like 225-925-3511) http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/ind...atrinasurvivor http://www.nola.com/forums/townhall/ http://www.fullcircle.net/ http://www.weather.com/blog/weather/...link_mainindex http://messageboards.weather.com/3/O...mp;f=108106198 http://messageboards.weather.com/3/O...mp;f=108106198 There's no Red Cross site as far as I know. The local chapter's site is here: http://www.arcno.org/ |

Re: Red Cross New Orleans Survivor Database
You might be better off just calling the red cross and asking?

Re: Red Cross New Orleans Survivor Database
It's obviously overwhelmed with calls. Also, they've specifically asked for no calls regarding the welfare of individuals.

Re: Red Cross New Orleans Survivor Database
Thank you Megan,
I hope your family is safe. It looks like I couldn't find this database because it doesn't yet exist. |

Another good resource:
http://www.gnocdc.org/hurricane_victims.html My family seems to be accounted for, although the hard-headed stepfather is still in New Orleans working. Hope everything turns out just as well for you. |
