The flops are rainbow, unless mentioned.

The stack sizes are deep compared to the betting unless mentioned.

4d is the only one I dont like. Any reason you didnt raise him on the flop?

I think you need to raise the flop on 4d and make him pay to catch.

Not in this case, because he was the kind of player that checks (or check raise) his draws and bets his pairs in the flop and turn. So, most probably I was way ahead. I was tempted to value bet the river, but the check looked fishy, so I just called.

why no check behind on the turn? i'd want to induce a bluff, encourage a call from 88.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think my weak bet did exactly the same, and since looked weak, even encourage him to raise me and take the pot.

Hand 3a - when he check-raised your turn bet what range did you have him on? KQ is kind of a scary holding in that situation

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I was worried about a set of 9s, since that makes sense with his actions. When he checked the river, then the only thing I was worried about is how much to bet. The only other hand I think it makes sense for his actions was AK, that's why I decided the 3000 bet.

I like the way most of these hands are played and I think the the hand where you have TT was played fine. The one hand I dont like is the Q9 hand. I dont like check raising with the hand because if he calls, he could have AK or QJ or a lot of other hands. I like either check/calling the flop and then leading 2/3rd's pot or check calling again depending on the turn card or if you think your opponent might be weak lead for pot on the flop. I really dont want to bloat the pot with a C/R OOP and a weakish holding.

Doesn't the Gap Concept say u should be mucking KQ for a raise in front of you?

And just because it's 'sooted', doesn't make it much better when there are few ppl in the pot.

And you called a significant bet on the turn with KQs when u picked up a flush draw. um, pot odds? 1200 into a 2400 pot...3-1 pot odds with a 5-1 shot (just looking at the flush draw) and u might not get called if the flush hits, so your implied odds are poor here. Or he can have the nut flush draw and you're in deep doo-doo, like he actually did.

Love the play with the 7's

After the raise and 1 caller, and with stacks this deep, I like to call here with KQs. Sometimes I raise in this spot.

When I called the 1200, the pot was about 3600, but you know hitting the flush is not the only way you can win the pot in the river, right?

I think calling w/ KQs is fine when the stacks are deep and you have confident post flop skills like sirio. Not to mention position.
