If you are really serious about online poker, pay for both Cable and DSL.

A friend of mine told me that he was playing his account (Party Poker) on a friend's computer. Days later they were each on their own computers at different houses and got booted when they tried to join the same ring game.

For this reason, I've been hesitant to play on someone else's computer? Has this happened to anyone else? Is Stars ok with this?

yep, once you play from the same isp address, you are no longer allowed to play at the same table. I think it is a good policy.
