Default Re: If you flopped a set in the bubble, do you make this call?

[ QUOTE ]
You flopped a set in the bubble, knowing that your opponent is on a flush draw, and there is a short stack about to be blind out.
Do you guys make this call here?

What do you do next?

[/ QUOTE ]

This sounds like a results oriented post because we "know the opponent is on a flush draw". If I know or didn't know, I would call. You've already thrown away 600 chips out of a stack of 2000, you are in the lead, you have one of his clubs, you have redraws if he catches. If you catch he is drawing dead (unless he has something like 67c or some other straight flush draw).

To me, that all in move of his makes me think he'd like you to go away quietly. I'd call.

FWIW, I would have folded pf too.

With the information at hand, I call, he could be on pretty much any two, If I was him I would be!

Say he flipped his cards face up showing a flush draw, however.. I'd CALL. Youre a 2:1 favorite and when you win you have half the chips in play, ready to bully and reraise people with any two once the short stack ahs folded, awesome.

Well, I didnt feel like pushing 10x BB UTG w/ a pair of 3s while there is a short stack about to die and the table is pretty weak.
I've min rasied w/ Ks UTG couple hands ago and shown everyone. I was trying to represent the same thing and if somebody come back the top of me, I am gone.

Again, I've min bet on the flop in the pass against the same guy, he pushed all in, I immediately mucked my hand. Clearly i'm trying to get him to push.

Well here is the result, and this is like the 20th out of money loseing streak....

The way you phrased the question (you know villain is on a flush draw) it's a tough decision and you may want to consult with ICM. Problem is that you con't possibly KNOW villain has a flush draw and therefore you should be very happy to call. I also see this as an easy folp preflop.

1) Fold preflop

2) If you don't fold preflop and you don't call this all in then WTF are you doing?

Seriously stop being results oriented. You just posted the results AKA a bad beat post. That won't make you any better.

Exactly. Stop trying to mask a bad beat post by acting like it contains content. Like he said, if you're going to fold a set here, WTF did you play the hand for? Useless junk post.

Party does still rock apparently. This is such awful play all around.

Hate the Preflop minraise even after your KK minraise/show hand. Fold this PF. Villain's post flop line is horrible too.

What makes the above all so bad is the 520 stack laughing and giggling at home in his underwear...I try to avoid making little stacks giggle like little girls like that.
