Am I insane?

I am currently in 11th about of 21 people, final 9 win seats to the 1000 +50 WCOOP event. Villian has had some very nice luck surving several all-ins en route to his stack. He seemed to be involved in a lot of pots and would bet after the flop in uncontested pots.

I had not been real active and I would attempt blind steals every so often but not more than once every couple orbits. That is when this hand came about.

When the short stack went all in after my blind steal I felt okay about calling him, and when the big stack just called I thought that he could have a very wide range of hands.

This is where my sanity comes into question. I thought that it was quite possible that he was making a move on this pot by betting the turn card. So I pushed all in which was about the size of the pot. Am I loco for making this move, or do you have to make some moves to succeed in these things?

Yes, you are insane.

You have to assume that the SB is beating you for the main pot the majority of the time, so you're basically risking 14K to win the 2400 that the BB bet. Meanwhile, you're drawing somewhere between thin and dead when BB has a hand.

I instamuck this hand in a normal MTT, and I muck it even faster in a supersat.

So sorry about your self destruct. I read about it in psych, had to come and see the HH.

Really sucks when you ruin a perfectly played tournament with one dumb play. I feel your pain. Don't stop stealing because of it...
