OK, so then using this logic, isn't the turn played funny? I mean you have to dump if he 3-bets. No?

his small bet made my weakness sensors go off and i'm trying to blow him off a pair with the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]?

yeah, i pitch to a legit 3bet real easy like.

But...you're not concerned that he called your turn raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

i know he'll fold a weak ace to 200 on the river like a little nit, right?

fim

If he's just going to fold, then why even bet?

[/ QUOTE ]

i think you missed the spirit of the post. that was his read on mem, allowing him to call with a marginal ace. see?

don't forget that you have the k[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] if that changes anything.

I'm not sure I understand why you like a raise on the turn here, but not on the turn in the A8s hand that you posted a few days ago. Is it because you can't get any action when you hit your flush, here?

I bet flop here, bet turn, check river. On flop, you have big hand, he may read for for continuation bet. If/when he plays back, not even close to always nuts/set.

why did you decide not to bet the flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

couldn't find a nice value bet, didn't want to play this hand for my stack but would probably have a very hard time getting away from a big pot if he did flop a set or flush. i figure Ax no clubs pays me a lot more this way givenmy preflop raising range in that situation.

flawed?

I think its flawed.

I also raise more preflop, unless you hit the pot button on ub and the sb was missing so it only made it $30, but why not bet the flop? Stack sizes are?

Also your continuation bets look better if you bet flops like this no?

It seems to me that you're in a similar spot on the turn in this hand.

If he calls this raise, it seems fairly unlikely that he calls with too many hands that you're ahead of, (except for maybe AQ-AT), since you showed weakness on the flop, and if you get three bet, then you miss the chance to draw at your hand, and have to drop.

I could be wrong here, as I just took irish car bombs.
