Ha!
.5/1 coming to the end of my session getting too tired and around $300 up.
I see A Ko in the SB ($130). Fold to MP ($400) who limps, another one too, button ($50) raises $4. I raise to $15 because i know buttons raising standards. Firstly: I'm wondering who would have overcalled there to keep the others in. MP now raises to $26 and both of us call. Pot $80. Flop: 9 7 6 - two spades. I check. MP bets $10, button folds, i checkraise $50, he calls. Turn: 7. Pot $184 I move all in for $70. He calls. River is a blank, he shows K8o and wont shut up in the chat room about how he made the perfect read. Bleh, i'd kick him in his balls but they are probably steel. |

Re: Ha!
Even if he did make a perfect read, what hand can he beat at this point? He can't even beat a bluff (as shown).
You played this hand fine though, if you would check-raise in this same spot with an overpair. |

Re: Ha!
Surely if you had A Ko and he had K 8o, you won the pot based on what you mentioned here, so what was his perfect read all about if he lost the pot.

Re: Ha!
i love players who brag about their great reading skills when they lose money calling to "confirm" their great read. and there are really a surprising number out there who think they're playing great when they lose $70 making the 'correct read', and pat themselves on the back, then do it again next time. these guys make some of the greatest money sources around, especially in PL/NL games.

Re: Ha!
*feels like the idiot*
I mistyped. He had K6o for bottom pair and took down the pot. Still think i played it fine? |

Re: Ha!
When playing against loose opponents, you make money by betting your real hands and getting paid off - and not by bluffing.

Re: Ha!
I made a post about that about 30 minutes before this hand, i'm an idiot.
He was a new player to the table. |
