UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK
Villain is good, aggressive, tricky; views me probably the same
My plan is to check flop, overbet any non club turn if checked to and raise all-in if he leads. Thoughts? Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (8 handed) converter MP1 ($1627.25) MP2 ($1000) Hero ($2121) Button ($825.75) SB ($1037) BB ($1417) UTG ($985) UTG+1 ($945) Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP1 raises to $35, 1 fold, Hero raises to $90, Button calls $90, 2 folds, MP1 calls $55. Flop: ($285) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) MP1 checks, Hero? |

You may want to post this in the MHNL Forum.

True. But I would really want to hear SSNL opinions as well.

Re: UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK
I've never played higher that 2/4 but I'll take a stab.
Villian is MP1 right? [ QUOTE ] My plan is to check flop [/ QUOTE ] Sounds standard. [ QUOTE ] overbet any non club turn if checked to [/ QUOTE ] Sounds good too. You're mucking if he c/r's ? What about button? [ QUOTE ] and raise all-in if he leads. [/ QUOTE ] This i don't get, aren't the stacks a little too deep for that? I think callng in position here is the better play if he's bluffing / betting an inferior hand by all means let him continue, if he calls your all-in (or button wakes up w/ a hand you're screwed). |

Re: UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK
I don't like it. He should very rarely have a flush here (as should you) but he will often have a pair with a club. Why let him draw to his flush for free? Pot the flop, call a raise. If he leads strong on the turn, probably push a club (since he is unlikely to have K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and you are plenty likely to have it) and probably fold a non-club giving him credit either for the flush or a set. Unless you think he'd make such a strong move on a stone cold bluff or you think he would lay down a set (unlikely).

Re: UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK
imo would be tricky as one of the others might have AK/AQ/AJ with the K/Q/J (of course!) being club, giving them top pair and flush draw.
