Default Limp reraise approriate in this situation?

Dont want to retrieve the HH but its fairly simple.

I limp UTG with 88 in full ring, currently a loose game with big pots. All fold to LAG who raises his button, his PFR% is around 40 now. Blinds fold.

3-bet it?

Maybe a situation like what happened last Friday might be better. 6 handed, all fold to me on the button who wakes up with red aces. I limp , SB folds, BB (bottomset), who detests blind steal situations that are wimp-limped, raises, I 3-bet, BB folds.

I'm glad he folded because, as everyone knows, aces always lose.

not against a LAG OOP. he'll give you value for your hand without you needing to push it.

I think the 3-bet here is a good call. I was in a situation like that too where a donk would raise with something like pocket twos. Most of the time, they are dead money but other times they will flip over monsters.
