There are many reason to call, but the most compelling is that villain has shown that he will push any Ace (from the prior hand): so a large percent of the time you will have him dominated.

At these blind levels you are playing all in poker, and 4 handed you will have to play: ignore the payouts. You are going to have to play many hands that are worse than AK to win the tournament so this should be an easy one.

Everyone learns this lesson at least once, once you've played enough you won't think twice about pushing/calling with a wide range of hands.

Two hands earlier:

5-handed
blinds 3k/6k
Villian has 42k
SB 30k
BB 38k
Hero 120k (hell yeah)
UTG+1 121k
poor CO 4k

Folds to Villain on button who minraises
SB pushes
button calls with A5
SB shows QQ

button flops straight

Now:

Villain UTG 78k
Button 29k
Hero SB 126k
Very Tight BB 121k

Villainn pushes
Button folds
Hero has AKo
Hero folds.......

Villain goes on to win the tourny; hero takes third. Please feel free to list all the reasons why I should call; alphabetical order would make this more convenient for me.

Is your name secretly Tommy Reed?

What range do you call here with? Would 88+, KJs+, A9o+ be too tight/loose?

I am very much for calling with AKo and a lot of other hands here. However, when villain pushed with A5o he was much shorter stacked and in later position. I don't think he is pushing A5o for 13xBB from UTG/CO.
