AC Trop Saturday 8/20 9:15am $125 Tourney -- folding to BB?
I may be naive, but was surprised by this. When we got down to 2-3 tables heard someone comment that one table had decided to fold the blinds and antes to the big blind for a circuit (or two) to tread water and let those of us at the other table(s) finish out of the money. I can't verify this actually happened, but if it did I think this is rather low-life behavior. Comments? I hadn't played a tourney in AC for about a year, but thought this one was distinctly passive and weak. Guess the real players we're still asleep.

Isn't this the reason they use hand for hand play during this stage of a tournament?
How many places pay in that tournament? |

Re: AC Trop Saturday 8/20 9:15am $125 Tourney -- folding to BB?
No. Hand-for-hand happens when a new payout level is about to be reached so individual players can't stall for time in an effort to get players on other tables to bust first. This is not implemented when tournaments reach x number of tables until the end - then they would never finish.
This behavior, as described, is active collusion if it was openly discussed at the table and against tournament rules. |

I was surprised it paid to 18th for 142 players (I limped in for 8th).
1. $4,828 2. $2,840 3. $1,420 4. $1,065 5. $ 781 6. $ 568 7. $ 426 8. $ 355 ... 18. $ 142 |
