Default Four handed, a family pot goes crazy...

My first hand at the table. We're four-handed. Two limpers, SB calls and I check with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Family pot.

Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB checks, I bet, first limper calls, second limper raises, SB now check-three-bets and this being my first hand, I have zero idea of what's up.

I call two bets, the limper calls two, and the second limper calls one. On to the turn for, oh, 16 SB?

Turn is a 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], SB bets and I raise...

How am I doing so far?

I would have raise PF. Postflop looks good so far. Their range of hands is pretty wide, anything from a straight to top pair to a draw. I think you're ahead most of the time, and this raise let's you charge those behind you.

Why? It's your first hand, no reads, and your OOP.

4 handed i like it. no one draw to their OESD for free in this house. i like not capping the flop here because it induces action from sb so you can raise to thin and worsen a draws odds.

[/ QUOTE ]When I have no read, I assume my opponents suck especially when it's SH. I adjust from there. Sucky opponents have less than KQo, sure they'll have AXo sometime, but also 75o.

I think most players who flop a straight on this board would be waiting until the turn to raise - especially in an unraised pot. The worst hand I see out there that's beating you is TT - unless these guys are really passive and won't raise QQ, KK PF. I think you're more likely looking at pair hands that also have a draw.

I think its risky not capping the flop and trying to get HU. You also might be missing some value by failing to cap.

Raising the turn after your flop smooth-call is easy given that the limpers are going to have to make a decision to get stuck in the middle and draw for many bets or fold their draws, which increases your chances of taking down the pot.

Ok, so no one finds huge fault so far. I don't like a PF raise here, but I see why others might.

SB bet, I raised. First limper folded, second limper three-bet and the SB capped it.

Two bets back to me, and I'm getting 8-1. I call.

River is a 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB checks, I check, third player bets. SB calls and I call.

Are there four players at the table, or four players in the pot? I'm a little confused.

Started four-handed. The first limper folds to the turn raise. Pot ends three-handed. Only four players at the table.
