Hows my line here? new to table, no read

I like checking the turn here. If he checks behind, you've kept the pot from getting too big. If he bets, he may define his hand for you.

edit: also, if you are going to raise this hand pre-flop I think you need to raise more. $5-$6 bucks should get it heads up (or take the pot down, which is fine). I would probably check this one out of the big blind.

don't raise ajs in bb

check/calling turn and block river will induce worse hands to call and minimize loss i think.

Preflop is horrible. Reraise more or just call. Which one it is depends on the min-raiser. It's a call against most.

Check the turn. If he's passive, you can fold to a bet and if he's aggressive, you can induce a bet that you will call.

He flips over AJ and we split.

I don't think a block bet would be possible, given Hero's stack by the river.
