Default Blind stealing question: if I bet the turn would you to lay down a 9?

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Flop: (4.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, BB calls.

I don't really understand the question in the title of your post.

Something to consider though. After he calls the flop, he could certainly have a pair, but he could also have a variety of draws. When the turn pairs, we now know none of the draws hit and he's now slightly less likely to have a pair. I would strongly consider betting out on the turn, unless I considered him a tricky player who would raise me with only a draw. In that case, I'd rather check behind and call a river bet.

If you had, say, 9-8, and no decent reads on me and I bet the turn, would you muck?

I'd call- I'm thinking you could be betting all kinds of draws here.
