Default Ten handed vs. nine handed one tables

What are people's thoughts on these two? 9 handed means ITM more but 10 handed bigger payout.
I tried looking up any previous threads on the subject but was unsuccessful.
Right now I play both and probably will continue playing both but I was thinking of this recently and wanted some smart people's comments on it.

Add 1 more fish to a table. Would you rather play with or without him?
