10/20 hand , reality check ...
2 limpers , I am in the BB with
4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check. Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (Pot is 60) I check. EP minbets 20. LP folds. I raise to 80. EP calls. Turn is J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot is 220) I bet 160. EP calls. River is 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot is 540) I bet 300. EP raises all-in for 1200. (pot is 2040) I call for 900 more. Opponent is PF 36 / 13. River Aggresion factor is 6. I am most intersted on the river. I have been arguing with a friend whether or not check is actually better to get the most value from second best hands. If I am not checking, what is a good amount to bet the river? |

It isn't even close. BET. FWIW, you cannot draw reliable conclusions about a player's "aggression" from the PT aggression factor stat. It is really quite useless, esp. for river play. Get reads. |

Haha, this is very funny.
You are right, vapourtrail, I am wrong; the light of day makes everything better. Easy river bet. So much more likely he has an ace that pays you off (like AQ/AK) than weird hands that you can extract more from or save bets with (65, A7, flush). I guess the only question is the size of the bet, then, and whether to fold to a raise. |
