How do I play AKs when the flop is something like 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ?
Do I fold? Call? Raise a better? I raise preflop of course. |

depends what position you are, how many people have called, where the bet came from etc. with your email it's a pretty drawless board, so a bet usually means a 9 or 5 probably. we certainly have outs to call the flop bet. however, we need to consider where it came from, etc. raising the flop may knock out a middle or bottom pair hand, which protects us against their 5outers if we do connect on the turn/river. Raising might also mean the turn is checked to us, and we can either bet again and try to get a fold (if there is but one or maybe 2 still in) or check and see the river.
basically, it's different for every situation. i dont think i'd ever fold a flop like this, even for 2 bets it'd be a close close decision. |

Depends on loads of stuff... its probably better to specify your question a bit. Things to consider:
Position Reads on your opponents Pot size Backdoor flush draw? How many opponents etc. |

Sorry for being vague, not used to posting here and new to poker as well.
Middle position No clear reads POtsize is rather small since I raise and the players after me folds. My hand is AK [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] so no flush draws 3 or 4 oponents |

If you check the micro limit guidelines theres a link to bisonbison's hand converter that most folks here use for posting up specific hands. There's also a lot of other usefull stuff in that post.
