Default 5/10 PP NL...A Big One and a Small One

Villain in the first hand is probably a loose fish as I have nothing on him but I haven't seen enough to be sure. Villain in second hand is TableCherry, a 5/10 regular. I've been told he is pretty solid, but I haven't been particularly impressed yet. I'll post my thought process and results in a couple of days.

I think I play both hands exactly the same (600nl though). I dont think I can find a fold in hand 1 in 30 seconds, so given that he's not betting with any hand you beat, id push river.

I think I'm check folding river in hand one. Hopefully he will check behind with AQ or AJ but i don't think those hands would bet the river. I don't know what he'd bluff the river with... so really, worst card ever, but I can find a fold in hand one.

Hand two, I'd prob throw out a little less, maybe 150-175... let him call with JJ or 99 or 88 or whatever... as played i think it would be tough for him to. I know you are trying to make it look like a steal, but players don't like to call pot sized bets with marginal hands in these spots, just in my experience.

i hate this advice

he doesnt bet enough on the turn in hand one and why not value/block bet the river youre only getting called if beat and youve got a decent chunk of change left

hand two just sucks, who the [censored] knows, id bet less though

I probably should have said i play very laggy, against me villians call both rivers with a wide variety of hands, especially hand 2, hell if villian folds 88 on this river he's not going to last long.

I think hand 1 is a check-fold. You can't beat anything, except for high 2pair.

Hand 2 I like a lot, as long as Villain has seen you make this pot sized bet as a bluff or suspects you might do it.

Default Results

Hand 1: I figured this guy was too big of a fish and his range of hands was too big that I couldn't give up on this pot. I doubt he's sophisticated enough to raise a flush draw on the turn. I pushed and he called with AQ.

Hand 2: I put TableCherry on some sort of small pair. I figured my turn check looked like overs so why not make it seem like I'm trying to steal on the river. It didn't work. He folded.
