This was a fun tourney, although I never remember having a boat the entire time and I sure didnt put any beats on anyone. Next week I expect to see EVERYONE there...

Now thats what i call an overbet. 260 in the middle and you raised it so its 2820 to him.

If your called, how often will you be ahead? If your ahead, how often will you be called?

I would grumble and fold AT and lower and possibly AJ if i thought my opponant knew anything about poker.

But, HU is all about reads, if you think he can call with a weaker ace often enough, this is a solid enough push i guess.

The point of a move such as this is that it looks so donktastic that people will frequently refuse to believe that you'd play AK this way. So I think worse A's will call almost always, and TT-KK just slightly less often. I like the play.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. Seemed fun to me. Except for my pocket Ks to Newt Buggs pocket aces, which was not the bad beat of the night btw. The worst that I saw was (from memory, don't hold me to the details) Dr Jekyl's Js full of As vs JCardShark's As full of Js.

I'll post results as soon as I get the e-mail.

I take it you would like to do this again next week?

Doc

Your all-in push with pocket nines on the turn was one street too late as I had already made my straight. On the flop, I had a combination hand/ pair with open end straight draw. I don't remember what you bet on the flop but I had tons of outs and don't believe my odds were all that bad.

I'd do it again. I'd like to see us get some more people in it too.
