Default How to Squeeze out an extra bet?


Should I have checked the turn trying to induce a bluff on the turn or get an extra bet on the river?

Or do you think it would have mattered at all.

Opponent was pretty typical micro player.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB calls, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (8 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, UTG folds, CO calls, SB folds.

Turn: (5 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Actually, I don't think you played bad. Yes, it hurts when that one hand you've been waiting for gives you a 5 BB pot but I don't think the CO had a queen or an ace so you weren't going to get paid off anyways.
