Should I have folded KQs ?
10- 20 full ring, Empire, 3 players in pot with me in the middle (EP2). EP1 calls ( he calls all hands ! and decides what to do after the flop !!), I raise with KQs.
Get reraised with MP1 and the rest fold after we both call. Flop is K 6 4 off suit EP1 checks, I check, MP1 bets, EP1 calls, I raise, MP1 calls, EP1 calls Turn is 10 EP1 checks, I bet, MP1 raises river is 8 EP1 checks, I check, MP1 bets we both call I have KQs, MP1 has AKx What did I do wrong ? Please feel to flame away if there are any big mistakes by me and thanks for your time and comments !! Should I have check raised him after the flop and folded if I get reraised ? Thanks |

Re: Should I have folded KQs ?
The hand is a little tough to follow the action. Use others formats to make it easier. Though I do like it better than just a repost of an online hand history.
I put him on at least AK with his play. But there isn't a description of him so I'd have probably called him out. I don't see any big mistakes in this. Sometimes it happens. Hell, I semi bluffed into quads the other day. That was fun. b |

Re: Should I have folded KQs ?
The answer to your question is no.
The guy could have done that with QJ. Or KJ. Or maybe he made a pair on the turn. Online poker you never know. Easy call down. |

It would take a real good read to do anything other than what you did.

Re: Should I have folded KQs ?
I'll have to be the odd one out here. I'm most likely folding to the turn raise here, especially after EP1 calls two cold. Unless you've seen wacky play from this guy in the past you're probably drawing to a three-outer. The call on the flop coupled with the turn raise says he wants you to call - AK, AA, or KK, with AK the most likely.

Re: Should I have folded KQs ?
I would have led the flop. The way you played it I might lay down to a passive opp.

Re: Should I have folded KQs ?
Thanks for the responses !
In the past, I have found players with drawing hands often raise - more to see if you fold than to increase the pot size, so folding would be tough. On hind sight, I would have probably check raised and folded if reraised. Thanks once again, PS. Thanks KGB for all the "free" teachings in you posts. |
