Yikes! I got hosed tonight!

I was in a live six player $5 SNG at a pub and get dealt AA from UTG+1.

We started with 40 chips, blinds are 1/2 going up with each elimination, and I have 35 chips after 2 orbits. Nobody has been eliminated.

UTG folds, I raise from 2 to 8, folded to maniac SB who re-raises all-in. It's folded to me, and I call.

Flop: 2K5 rainbow

Turn: 6

River: Don't [censored] ask!

And I lose all of my chips.

Next tourney, 3 people eliminated by4th hand, blinds are 4/8. I get dealt 66, my virgin 40 chip stack being the second smallest of the 5 remaining. I push from UTG, having 3 x blinds worth of chips, and I get one caller, who has KQs. K comes on turn and I'm down to 6 chips.

Next hand, I'm BB and put my 6 chips in. My 75s hits two pair and I make 16 chips against A2o.

Next hand, I get K9s (of clubs) from the SB and push.

BB calls and shows AQs (of diamonds)

Flop comes 6c9c2H (giving me a flush draw)

Turn comes Kd (giving me top pair + flush draw)

Only two cards can beat me now...

And guess what comes up?

An As(s), of course.

lol...66 is about even money against KQs (but I had to push that, given the situation) and K9s is a dog against AQs (again though, I had 16 chips and the blinds were 4/8).

Incidentally, two hands after knocking me out, the player in question would knock two more of the six players out when his AT hit a T all-in against AJ and AK and would go on to easily win the tournament after that.

How can you be mad losing with K9s vs AQ, even if he hit a redraw you were lucky to hit yours in the first place.

Also, the tournament you describe is the worst structure I have ever heard of, what a crapshoot.
