Default Frustrated at inability to post on banned topic

I won't mention the banned topic, but it should be obvious. I understand the reasoning behind banning this topic, to prevent people spamming the forums all to hell, but is it really necessary to prevent all discussion of this topic?

There are reasonable discussions or questions one could have on this topic which would not necessitate any advertising, and the topic will be of interest to most all online players.

Is there no way to allow discussion without spamming? A bunch of classified ads are not much of a replacement for actual discussion.

there are banners paid for by plenty of 2+2ers in the forums. You can also contact somebody whos opnion you trust via PM and ask them.

And there are forums on the net exclusively for that topic.

although there are many proprietors of this topic, I suggest that you go to one specific website, that i'm not allowed to mention. go there and you'll find out all you need to know about this topic.

Whenever a discussion about it starts typically 80% of the information given is wrong (many hard myths on this subject), so this alone should be reason to avoid those discussions.

Why dont they just turn the classifieds into a forum where people can discuss these issues. I see there is a new BW forum that is commercial. why not sell advertising on the dare i say it (rkeback) forum. This is an issue that effects almost every player on this site and to not be able to discuss it anywhere seems silly.

If you're looking for [censored]reviews, you could find the website devoted to [censored]reviews. Otherwise, pick someone out of the classifieds, check their references if you care.

Getting the unmentionable product or service is easier than getting laid at a ski resort at New Years. Don't give the spammers any excuse, and support the classifieds.

I just wanted to say that I wholeheartedly agree w/ op.

The "unmentionable" has a huge impact on many ppls bottom line, and I think it's silly to not be able to discuss it.

But yeah, I do see the problem (if it was allowed, most would just be saying "sign up with me!" instead of providing unbiased oppinions.)

I didn't know you could check references. Where are they usually listed?

as far as references go, email any affiliate, and they will provide you with names of 2+2ers that you can contact.

but of coarse they will only give you names of ppl they know are happy with their affiliate, so....
