Re: QQ with confusing action
[ QUOTE ]
No putting in 3 bets on this board on the river is not results oriented, it is a mistake. I may just be bitter because my least likely expected hand was the one he showed -DeathDonkey [/ QUOTE ] I completely agree, and I think I knew I should be folding to the 3-bet, even as I clicked call. As you so rightly said before 'If you can't fold to a 3 bet you must not raise'. |

I'm sure villian was sitting there thinking "Straight beats a flush, right?" ...

Re: QQ with confusing action
My feeling is to raise and call if 3-bet. If he hit the flush or trips on the turn, why not c/r there when you are now heads up? If not there, why not c/r the river? His stats certainly indicate that he could have limped in MP with 76 and could have hit the gut shot. With those stats, he could have 85 as well. On second thought, I probably just call it down.

Re: QQ with confusing action
Grunch.
I think a raise may be correct, but I probably just call out of pure confusion. Plus since Villain is apparently completing/betting with just about anything I can't rule out a straight or trip 5s. But I think I get shown a 5/blank here a fair amount of the time. (After all, a poor player just made "2 pair".) Edit: Wow. Is it possible he's bad enough not to notice he had a flush and just bet the straight? |
