I want to practice all those chip tricks I see on TV. Where can I get 6 casino-chips and instructions on some web site on the different rolls, flips, etc... (any out of business casinos, etc... or do I have to drive to an indian casino)
While playing online it will give me something to do while waiting for a good hand... and if I ever make it to a live table It'll give people a second thought before they decide to take all my money. BTW - anyone here know how to do those? |

For the chips try here http://www.nevadajacks.net/mall/clay_chips.htm They sell a sample set 7 chips that would suit your needs. As far as chip tricks are concerned i would go to your local magic shop and ask them. There are many good books out there for coin tricks and many of the same moves can be used for chips.

For chips, if you want real chips, try ebay. Get 10 $1 chips or so, that should be enough to fiddle with. Though they mark it up. If you live close to a casino, just get the chips there! Nothing beats the real thing.

WSOP_1997, I curse you for putting this link up. I wasted an hour of my life attempting the "Coin Walk" and got nowhere Although my knuckles are quite wet from all the licking... I guess I have no coordination

I guess I have no coordination [/ QUOTE ] Most of these tricks are either going to be very easy, or very difficult for people. I have no clue whether it is the left or right brain that makes it easier. I share the same side brain as you, and quickly gave up on the more difficult ones. |

Anyone know the flash shuffles like fans, and that concertina thing between both hands? Must be a web reference for that somewhere?

Try the book "The Royal Road to Card Magic" by Jean Hugard and Frederick Braue. It is the HEFAP of card magic.

I've been playing BM poker for years. I can barely riffle a stack of chips... SO WHAT.......
Spend your time learning how to take the money from those that can do all those tricks. I like to fumble at the tricks, that way they think I'm a novice player. |

Don't listen to anyone telling you where to buy chips. They are all wrong. The secret is to ask every website you can find for some free sample chips. That's what I did! If they offer only one sample chip, just ask for multiple anyways. Make sure to throw in a line like, "also, I was wondering if you could possibly offer discounts on orders of 1000 chips or more." I just tried this two days ago, so I'm not sure on the results yet, but I think it will work nicely. Let me know if you find any sites that are especially generous with this offer =)
