Default Go to showdown more???? When!??--some hands, please comment

My went to showdown is 30% over 40k hands, which is low I'm told. I ran hot for 20k (3bb), then really sputtered out and played barely above break even for the next 20k (1.85bb/100 overall). I feel like I ran TERRIBLE for 15k or so (I think my entire 170bb downswing could have been plugged up SOLELY by the two out suckouts (mostly on river)--I'm not kidding).
I'm in this tough position of not knowing if I need to make significant changes. I tried to get to showdown more today, with not so good results--I definitly lost more than I gained $$ wise.

I just wanted to put some hands out there to get some feedback. I'm trying to just get to showdown more when its heads up, as I've found that I make the calldown in the wrong spots when multiple people take the flop.

(Sorry about the format, can't get the converter to work)

Hero in BB w/ AQ.

SB completes, hero raises
Flop KK8 two tone
Sb bets, hero?

Calls down? CAll down if SB agressive, but fold if SB passive?

Hand 2
Hero on button w/ AK, raises
LAG bb reraises.
Flop: rags
BB bets, hero calls down?, Call flop raise turn and check behind?
What if hero C/R'd on flop or turn?

Without any kind of read I call down in both situations. People love to overplay their hands out of the blinds. Also I cap preflop in hand # 2.
