I'm curious as to whether or not there's any deep-stack tourneys online... and how close party comes to the WSOP in terms of the slowness of the tourney.

Other than rebuys (which sometimes play like deep stack tourneys after the rebuy period), I am not aware of any.
At the WSOP, Full Tilt told me that they were planning a true deep stack tourney (perhaps multi day) for the fall. |

If Full Tilt does this, somebody post so we'll know. That would be a lot of fun.

I would not view the WSOP as a deep-stack tourney. especially after the first day. Compared to the WPT championship or other WPT events, definitely not. On day 2, a majority of the field is in push or fold mode.
The WPT tourney with 50K starting chips and a good blind structure is in my mind the only deep stack tourney. |

There's no deep stacked tourneys compared to the WPT etc, but Full tilt has the slowest structure on the net, so plenty of time for a good player to assert his advantage. The average stack late itm is usually still around 25-30bb. Online, it's usually preferred to have a fast structure early, but slow later on and especially itm (FT fits this criteria). Also, UB has deep stacks at the start, (100bb), but I don't like the structure as much as FT.

Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt have the 2 best tourney structures on the net, but I believe UB's is better than FT's.
The blinds may go up slightly more slowing on FT, but UB's larger starting chip stack more than off-sets the difference. Late in UB's bigger buy-in tourneys it's not unusual to still have 35 big blind average stacks. |

Keep in mind that UB is only better than FT in the $100+ buyin tournies, otherwise FT is still better.

I'm putting together a spreadsheet comparing the different online MTT structures. So far the slowest appear to be the bigger buy-ins on UB and Bugsy's Club, but I have yet to look at Full Tilt. Also, I have a question for you Stars and Party players: do the blinds/antes plateau after a certain point?
