Default table check-list

can someone provide a good checklist of things to do in order to efficiently look at how the game is going at the table or to classify your opponents. like a Quarterback in football has a checklist before the snap. so in some kind of order he'll make sure there is plenty of time on the playclock, read the defensive coverage, make sure everyone is set, etc...

i think an efficient checklist would help organize a player's duties before he starts playing.

Some big ones:

How many players are seeing the flop generally?
How much preflop raising is going on? (can i play with this hand with a reasonable expectation i won't get raised?)
Post flop: a lot of raising/folding or calling?
How many people are generally seeing a showdown?

These are a few of the key ones in my opinion, to determine what kind of game you are in, and the best way to go about beating it.

i meant more along the lines of the big things to look for when sizing up each individual player, not the whole table.

poker aint football buddy!

anyway, what i do preflop, determine if i should even attempt a steal...if it is folded to me
in the process of doing that i try to remember how far each of the blinds will go to defend. I also consider my table image, the previous few hands, their stack sizes, my stack size...

in a tournament time would be more of an issue... how much time is left b4 blinds go up, how many players are left, how many places get payed, relative stack size, are people tightening up?
