Bob T shows that if he severely outflops his opponent (subfallen) he can prevail.

Default Colgin v. Jeff A.

Colgin defeated Jeff A. in a see-saw battle of wills last night. After I had a very brief early lead, Jeff A. slammed me slowplaying me to critical condition with monster hands like flopped trips and two pairs. Jeff had me down to under 400 in chips at one point I believe at which point I started my slow fight back to even. We then went back and forth exchanging the lead many times but staying close to even in chips. Towards the end of hour one I built a slight lead and when we doubled stakes had about a 21 BB to 9 BB advantage. Suddenly being very shortstacked became too much for Jeff to handle as he was forced to abandon some of his until then very effective agressiveness-on-the-button strategy and instead try to wait for somewhat better starting hands.

Ultimately I flopped better than Jeff last night and that was the main story of our match.

Good game, Jeff.

Not sure what's happening with my team...but we are 0-7 so far so at least we would have a reasonable excuse for giving up!!
