How bad is this flop raise?
No read on MP2, aside from a name that screams "action player." So that can't be counted on. Guilty till proven innocent. Button, BB, UTG are standard loose passives.
I really don't like the cold call PF. Might as well try to muff all the streets. Re: How bad is this flop raise?
Was it a value raise on your overcard + backdoor gutshot straight + backdoor flush + backdoor "two-pair draw"? Or were you hoping to fold everyone?

Re: How bad is this flop raise?
Preflop is bad, I consider re-raising or folding.
Fold the flop. This should be standard for you. |

Re: How bad is this flop raise?
Faced with a preflop raise (after one limper) from an action player, I prefer a preflop 3-bet. Against someone more sensible, I don't really have a problem with the cold-call. In any event, I like it better than folding, I think.
I guess the flop raise is an attempt to make up for the missed preflop 3-bet, but I'm thinking it might be a little late. If you'd gotten it heads-up versus the action player, though, that would've been a good result, I think. Anyway, given the preflop action, I'd probably just peel on the flop, if that. (I might fold instead, fearing a raise or checkraise behind me.) |

[ QUOTE ]
No one peels on this flop? [/ QUOTE ] While it would suck to peel and get raised on the flop, I can see merit in it here. Two players have shown no strength yet, PFR will autobet and can have loads of hands without an Ace. Getting at least 11.5:1 + decent implied odds due to the number of passive opponents & a backdoor nut flush draw, I would peel if I expected no-one to rasie behind (they are passive after all). |
