Default WSOP Dealer pay info - from a dealer

Read a blog that contained a letter from a guy who has dealt the 2004 and 2005 WSOP. Before expenses he made about $35 an hour. After expenses (he was from out of town) it was down to $27 an hour.

Interesting read. The letter is near the end of the post.

He describes how the higher limit players are quite cheap At 2-4 to 20-40 he was averaging 18 bucks a down in tips. In the big games he was lucky to average 8 bucks a down.

This sounds like pretty good money for dealing to me.

The high limit pro and semipro players are typically the worst tippers. Sometimes you get lucky though, and make up for the $8 average by putting a businessman on a rush and making 50-60.
