Re: Table selection: what is the minimum VPIP
Table selection at these stakes is overrated.

Re: Table selection: what is the minimum VPIP
bottomset is 100% correct, what do you care? If you are playing at a table with a vpip of 28 (about avg) so what? Do you only want to play against fish? How do you plan on beating the 2/4 and 3/6 games if you don't know how to play against a tag?

Re: Table selection: what is the minimum VPIP
[ QUOTE ]
The way I search is that I in the Lobby I sort by decending pot size, then get on the waiting list.... [/ QUOTE ] Everyone is doing this, so it doesn't work well. You have to do a little opposite day thinking. Try this, find 4 tables with 6 or 7 people on them. Watch them for a couple orbits. Pick the one with the highest VP$IP that still has a seat. Rinse, repeat. This works well when the tables aren't jammed. When they are, I think you can lose more money dicking around looking for tables than you should. -D |

Re: Table selection: what is the minimum VPIP
I'd have to disagree about just finding an open seat from limited experiene at .5/1 and a little more at 1/2. My last 7 tables that have started with a VP$IP >40 have gone to 22-23ish within 10 minutes. Blind steals actually become relevant (and possible) 2-3 times an orbit. It's ludicrous for that limit.
Maybe my methods are off, but I'm opening 8 tables, waiting for at least 20 hands, and hopping on the wait list of all tables >30. I've only been able to play at one table with >30 VP$IP for more than 10 minutes once in the last 4 days. Maybe I'm just experiencing bad luck, but this looks like a [censored] 10/20 B&M game |
