Default Re: Bet AQ into a preflop three-bettor?

The point is that a hand worth 3-betting pre-flop (like JJ) will bet the flop if you check to him and a better hand (AA, AK) will raise. You rarely need to bet the flop yourself in order for that bet to be made.

Default Follow up question..thoughts

Thanks to a few posters I understand why checking makes sence of the flop.

What if the button would not bet a worse hand but will call with one. In some situations I think betting out becomes my default play. Against a thinking opponent like the one Incognito faces, I can see why check calling would show more profit than betting.

Against less thinking opponents would a check be a better play?

Thanks

Michael

hi incog
you have to bet out in this situation. if he has JT, you don't like a free 9 coming off.

Do you play with a lot of guys that 3-bet EP raiser with JT, then don't bet an A 8 7 flop?
