No, if you start representing, you do NOT have to keep representing.

Has anyone ever used, or seen someone use, the "I got skipped and I'm going to argue about it for 10 minutes" technique to fake having a big hand? I don't think I've ever seen that done when the perp didn't have something huge. He may as well turn them face up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just because he has a big hand doesn't mean he wasn't on an angle though. He might have wanted to check-raise, but no one raised him. I don't think Allen would do that. Just hypothetical.

[/ QUOTE ]

can someone explain this further to me? totally over my head what "technique" youre referring to

If I rememebered right, Barry started with 5k, so he's up over 6k, while Jesus walked away losing about 10k.

Example: UTG+2 posts. UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, UTG+2 doesn't act, is skipped by inattentive dealer, is eating, etc. Next two players limp. UTG+2 wakes up and says he was skipped. He argues, raises voice, calls lawyer on cell phone, declares dealer a terrorist, etc. The floor is called and invariably (and correctly) rules that since significant action has occurred past UTG+2, the action won't be backed up so that he can raise.

UTG+2 invariably has a G1 hand that he wanted to raise with. If he had 94o, he wouldn't be complaining so vociferously.

In tonight's game, the poster had JJ. Several players limped behind. Unless someone caught a HUGE piece of the flop, JJ is getting no postflop action.

I was curious as to whether anyone had ever done the 10 minutes worth of complaining with a hand like 94o in order to make the table think they had a monster.
