Re: Poker \"career\" conundrum
I remember when I only played like .25/.50 and .50/1 (not too long ago, i'm a 1/2 whore now), and I'd play some tournies at the local casinos, and they had a 4/8 game going. I couldn't fathom plopping down enough money to play in this. Then one day I said WTH, and did....and believe me, I played scared scared scared. $8 to chase my flush, ARGHGHGH. Well, luckily I won a few big bets, and started my casino roll. I slowly built it up (then lost it all), and now am somehow more comfortable playing 4/8 there than I am 2/4 online (probably because I insist on playing 2-4 tables at once online). This really has no point, except that I got used to the 4/8 game and really its nothing to me, I lose $200 in an evening, oh well, sh*t happens. Like someone said, if you lose your $200 or w/e you take to the next level, then build it back up at the level under it, and take another shot, it eventually numbs you to the monetary amount of the bets, I can definitely attest to that.
