What is tough about this postflop? Do you think he's calling with QQ/AA? Are you afraid everyone will fold to your bet?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd love everyone to fold to my bet Actually, the turn is more interesting, but I wanted to ask the questions about PF without cluttering the discussion with the turn discussion.

What's ABC to one player is mystifying to another sometimes and I'm focusing on my leaks today...

UTG - I'm VPIP 9.43, PFR 3.77, 50% WSD so I fear I'm not playing enough hands here

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't worry about loosening up in this position. If your overall stats were 9.43/3.77 in every position I would loosen up, but this is probably ok for utg. Tight, predictable play is best there.

Thanks!

Bet. This is not a hard decision.

I am probably 3-betting if I get raised, but I could see just calling.

No you wouldn't. When you flop a set, you want people to chase and pay you off with 2nd-best hands. Occasionally your set will get cracked, but you desperately want somebody to hold TP or a flush draw when you have a set.

Are we ahead or behind? Or does it not matter?

Is your 3-bet automatic and if not, what factors into it?

UTG+1 posts blind UTG+1. End of first orbit with no specific reads, but 36 hands with Button shows VPIP 72.2, AF .47.

UTG, Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

PRE-FLOP
Hero raises, Poster folds, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds.
[10.0sb]

Q: Does the presence of the poster make this a good raise? I find posters like to complete 1 bet but does this give drawing hands sufficient odds to come in suspecting a blind or two might complete?

FLOP 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)

[/ QUOTE ]

SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, Button calls, SB folds.

Naturally, I bet the hand for value.

My hand is too vulnerable to outdraws and I keenly felt the inability to protect my hand without the c/r. At most micro tables I'd expect a paired overcard or better position to bet, but after my PFR, there was no way that was happening.

TURN 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero ...

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently everybody agrees with a bet.

Hero bets, MP2 folds, Button calls.

RIVER 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero...

HU? This is a classic Clarkmeister. Bet. And I call a raise.
