Default More Eviler then Skeletor

5 handed

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Folds to Button who raises, he likes to raise with anything against the blinds especially with no action before him. I decide to 3-bet this donk. This is were the hand gets interesting... BB caps it, then Button Calls. At this point I know I am behind but I call.

Flop: (16 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

Hero checks, BB bets, Button calls, Hero Calls.

Turn: (19 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

Hero checks, BB bets, Button calls, Hero calls.

River: (25 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

Hero checks, BB bets, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, both call

obviously I won with the Ace high flush.
Was my play preflop bad?
Anything I could have done differently.
Any suggections or comments are welcomed. Thanks

I would bet the river, the Q and the J are out there already.

You would lead on the river, you don't like a c/r here with 3 people still in?

With just one opponent I'd bet, but with two (and knowing that both are fairly aggressive lets say) would you still not go for the CR?

Played well until the river. I'd bet it.

Easy 3-bet pf, by the way.

I lead, because 1) if the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is out there he'll raise you anyways, allowing you to 3bet, which you'll almost never get by c/r'ing, and 2) if the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] isn't out there, then you're banking on one of them having, at best, the T or 9 or something. Any other club is a good chance to check through. The button might bet something like 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the river, but getting it checked through would be awful.

So I think that the times it would get bet (allowing you the c/r) you would have a real good chance of 3betting anyways, and the rest of the time there's a good chance of you whiffing.

Ok, good points thats... I based my c/r more on villians style of play (based on their aggression in previous hands). I should have elaborated more on this in my original post.

I appreciate all the comments so far.

Easy 3-bet PF... I respect what the others say about leading the river, but I play it the way you did. Looks like I need to change my routine. NH.
