Losing with AA longterm
Is it possible?
Imagine the worst possible limit poker player trying to do his best. Do you think he will lose longterm with pocket Aces? |

Re: Losing with AA longterm
This is a stupid question. Even if you never fold (or as long as you never fold) AA, you can't lose with it in the long run.
-Adam P.S. Greg, please? |

This is a stupid question. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. But I could lose with AA. Always raise preflop and then open-fold the flop! |

Re: Losing with AA longterm
yea ive had a crap run of aces, long term though aces is surely one of my most profitable hands. I was delt AA around 14 times this past 8 days, and I only won 4 of them, damn loose passive 10 handed tables lol

Re: Losing with AA longterm
Dont mind the modpolice, I think this is a cool question.
I know pokerroom has stats on the EV of all the cards played by players, and it shows even bad players can still win with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and AK/AQ. The rest they tend to lose with, probably because they go to far or not far enough. I think you could make it a moderate winner if you never folded it and called it every chance you got, but you couldn't be a loser with it. Its too strong a hand. (obviously we could make it a loser by folding every flop no matter what, so we'll ignore that and pretend we have to go to a showdown). |
