Sports Futures Trading
Hey I am pretty new to this whole sports betting thing and I came across http://www.tradesports.com/
Anyone have any insightful reading or commentary about sports future betting? Is it a lot more profitable than just a regular sportsbook? Thanks guys |

Re: Sports Futures Trading
uh, its prety much the same thing, other than the in-game running which allows you to analyze (and profit from) in-game situations.

The vig is a little bit less. Plus, you can get 0 vig if you are a "market maker" (i think that is what they call it). Which is basically just buying/selling without the offer being accepted instantly. craig |

Re: Sports Futures Trading
Eh, they still get you if you hold the contract to expiry (keep the contract until the game outcome is decided). This 4 cents on a $10 bet doesn't seem like much, but it can turn a price from being better than the sportsbooks to worse. Depending on the initial moneyline, it can be worth between 1.6 and 4 cents in terms of the moneyline, i.e. turn a even bet to a -102 bet and a -200 bet to a -204 bet.
