Naphand...just curious...were you planning on leading/3-betting the turn but then figured when the Q fell the opponent would bet? Because generally I don't like a line that includes checking the turn here. I don't mind the flop call though if it's with the intention of hopefully going 3 BB's.

Anyway...I think you have to call down here. Hopefully button is just overplaying AA/KK or a Q or maybe even hoping the 3-bet will get him a free showdown.

I think preflop is fine especially if both limpers are loose and pay off.

Statistically, 97s will win more often than 87s.

Button is not very aggressive, a raise is unusual (he raises around 5-6%). The blinds almost certain to call 1 bet.

The Turn was dependent on who was still in the hand. If both other players fold out I feel more confident Button will bet the Turn if checked to, with a straggler in I would try to 3-bet.

If I lead the Turn I am pretty sure Button calls/folds River with overs, but will call AK on the River if he checks the Turn thro. With a decent hand (perhaps AQs or AA/KK/JJ/TT) I think he bets when checked to, even AK, but may not raise the donk-bet (fearing 2-pair or the Q for some hands he may have). There are no real draws here for Button to take free cards, apart from AK (discussed). My feeling is Button is much more comfortable betting than raising.

My read is not solid.

I think you should fold this preflop. On the flop I keep betting and take control. If they check/call me on later streets I am perfectly happy.

People, please don't fold preflop.

If I bet the flop, it would be with the intention of 3-betting or calling and betting the turn hoping to 3-bet. Like chief said, I don't like a plan that involves checking the turn.

I'd call down. I know you said your opponent isn't aggressive enough, but many players are aggressive in the wrong spots and will be doing this with AA/KK/AQ so folding would be wrong.

I just 3-bet the flop and go from there.
