Brantford Casino 2/5 Starting Hands Cheat Sheet
My friend (who's starting out in hold'em) and I are going to Brantford Casino to play alittle 2/5 hold'em. Its a friday, so it's gonna be packed. He plays pretty loose, not too passive, not too aggressive either. He plays quite aggressive with good hands, however. But this post isn't about him.
I've made a starting hands guide to give him. Like a crib sheet (i don't think he can use it in the game, he'll just have to memorize) SO i've made it very basic and very simple. One last thing to mention. I've made this crib sheet in kind of a hurry, because I'm at work and can't be caught online!! Any signifacant modification that need to be made? ---------- These are the only hands that you need to play. Eearly Seats 1,2,3 AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT – raise and reraise AK, AKs, AQ, AQs – raise and reraise AJs, KQs – raise ATs, KQ, A9s, 99, 88 (maybe 77 and 66 is not much raising) Mid Seats 4,5,6 All of the above plus AJ (raise to eliminate players) *don’t call raises with these hands AT, KJ 99 – raise 50/50 call Axs (any suited Ace) *call a raise if the pot will have 4 or more players All pocket pairs (ie 77, 66, 55, 44, 33, 22) KJs, KTs, QJs, QTs, JTs Late Seats Cutoff and Button All of the above plus KJs, KTs, QJs, QTs, JTs – raise *don’t call raises with these hands (below) KT, QT, QJ T9s…54s (zero gap “suited connectors”) T8s…75s (one gap “suited connectors”) FOLD EVERYTHING ELSE ------- |

Re: Brantford Casino 2/5 Starting Hands Cheat Sheet
Buy Small Stakes Holdem by Ed Miller/Sklansky.
I've only been a few times and I play $5/$10 not $2/$5, but from what I've seen it's a crazy loose passive calling station game. The book has loose preflop hand list. But more importantly will teach how to play really loose tables like that. BTW, bankroll permitting $5/$10 at Brantford is equivalent to $2/$4 on Party. |

Is 5/10 that wussy????? GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVY! Can't wait! I think the line up for 2/5 might be a little long, maybe I"ll bump it up to 5/10 I only play micro's online, if they had .5/1 or 1/2 at brantford, i'd be in there. I think i underestimate my ability. EDIT: or i'm chicken s**t. |

Re: Brantford Casino 2/5 Starting Hands Cheat Sheet
yes most of the time, it's that wussy, but it can be slightly rocky sometimes, so you have to know when to it is such and either move table or move down to 2/5. However given you currently are micro online, unless you don't mind $300 swings stick to 2/5.
Also if you have SSH, there is your list for your friend. Done! |
