Default Multiway pot?

Could someone please explain when a short handed pot becomes multiway? Is it 3 players, 4 players 5 players. And do you include the blinds preflop when there is a raise and the action hasn't reached them yet?

Suited connectors play well multiway so how many players do I at least need to play them. Say we have an early limper 1 raiser a cold caller, and I'm on the button. Does this constitute a multiway pot so I can cold call the raise?

Hope this makes sense

Cheers

yeah multiway is usually 4+ players seeing the flop.

Yes suited conectors do play well in multiway pots but you also want to see the flop cheaply with them. There are a few exceptions but I rarely cold call with such hands unless I'm sure there's gonna be at least 5 and then it's marginal depending on how well you play postflop/opponents etc...
As far as counting the blinds as people who will see the flop this again is a situational thing. You have to watch the player. Does he allways play his binds. Does he fold them to offten.

So a solid cut and dry answer to your question "it depends"
