Too passive?
Seat 1: - ($1,470 in chips)
Seat 2: - ($1,895 in chips) Seat 3: - ($1,470 in chips) Seat 4: - ($2,485 in chips) Seat 5: OPP ($1,765 in chips) Seat 6: ME ($1,500 in chips) Seat 7: - ($1,500 in chips) Seat 8: - ($1,380 in chips) Seat 10: - ($1,535 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS gack attack posts blind ($10), Gudaboren posts blind ($20). ME was dealt Kd, Jd PRE-FLOP - folds, - folds, - folds, - folds, - folds, - folds, - folds, OPP bets $55, ME calls $45. FLOP [board cards JC,5S,2H ] OPP checks, ME bets $100, OPP bets $250, ME calls $150. TURN [board cards JC,5S,2H,10S ] OPP checks, ME checks. RIVER [board cards JC,5S,2H,10S,3S ] OPP checks, ME checks. Quite unsure how I should play this. I wanted to fold this, but knew I most likely had the better hand PF since everyone folded up to my opp who made small raise so I wanted to see a flop. On the flop I thought he "gave up" his bluff when he checked, so I bet out the pot to take it right there. Was a nice flop for me, but was ofc worried about AJ, QQ, KK and AA so didn't want to play it too hard. I got a re-raise against me, and was going to fold, but I reckoned that I would get to see the river for free if I did call. And so it went. I got to see the river for free. But should I have bet on the river? Should I have folded PF even though I thought I had him beat? In normal circumstances I wouldn't play KJs this early, but I had position on him and I took his raise as a steal attempt. I didn't want him to think he would get the blinds without any fight in the future either. How would you have acted in this one? |

[ QUOTE ]
but I reckoned that I would get to see the river for free if I did call. [/ QUOTE ] i think this is pretty unlikely. but i'm going to the felt with this hand. as you played it, i like a small value bet on the end and vomit if you get c/r'ed. |
