Aggression vs aggression
20/40 at Paradise. The game is 4 handed.
Button open-raises. Button is an extremely aggressive player. Will raise any two here. He also seems to be tilting. 3-betting with hands like 86s etc. Also he lost a big hand to me when I cracked his aces. BB is a bit unfamiliar, but seems mediocre and tightish. I 3-bet in the SB with Kd9d. BB folds, button calls. Flop comes 3h Kh 7h A bet from me and a call from him. Turn is the 3d. I bet, he raises, I 3-bet and he calls. River is the 2h. I check-call his bet. Comments? Regards |

Re: Aggression vs aggression
I would have played it the same way, but I think you could make a case for betting the river even with four hearts out. You would have to pay off a raise for sure.

Re: Aggression vs aggression
If I have to pay of a raise you still prefer betting the river? He certainly isnt going to fold a better hand than mine.

Re: Aggression vs aggression
I like the play, especially for the $20/40 at Paradise. Depends on the the competition for sure; against many players, I'd shut down on the turn and either bet or check-call depending on the river (I find the check induces a lot more bluffs.) River play is fine; no way I'd bet.
