Default Re: Preflop quiz for loose games (inspired by micro-limit post)

I am glad that you made this quiz because it shows me that i am playing a little too loose. I have had success playing with a vpip of 20 so this shows me some of the ways that i can reduce it.

I really think that i would have called with the jt off on the button. if i dont get a good flop i can let this hand go but if i do i can win a good pot. I would also probably call with the AJo but i almost prefer the JT because of straight possibilities. I would call 98s and 65s as well as 33 and 99

In the sb i would call with all the hands above as well as 57s.

I would have a hard time folding anything except K9o because it does not have many possibilities.

If my thinking is wrong i would appreciate any input/suggestions.

Just curious as to peoples' preflop standards on the button and blinds given looser games. If you don't care don't post.

------------------------------------------------

Say you're in a loose small stakes game, with 4-5 players seeing a flop.

In this hand, there is a raiser and 2 cold callers, and you are on the button, with somewhat loose blinds (you can expect at least one to come along)

1:
a. JTo - Fold
b. 65s - Fold, gimme one or two more and I'll call
c. 89s - Call
d. AJo - Fold
e. 33 - Call
f. 99 - call/raise
g. 78o - fold

In this hand, you are in the SB, and there is again a raiser and 2 cold callers, and a loose BB.
2.
a. JTo - fold
b. 65s - fold
c. 89s - fold
d. AJo - fold
e. 33 - call
f. 99 - call/raise
g. 78o - fold
h. 57s - fold

In this hand, you are the BB, and there has been a raiser and 3 cold callers

3.
a. 47s - call usually
b. 56o - fold
c. K9o - fold
d. 32s - call/fold
e. JTo - call
f. 98o - fold/ I know its pretty loose, sometimes I call here (not often though)
g. 97o - fold
h. 46s -call

I will compile all of these when the thread dies down and give the general perception of each hand and what people do.
