Did I play this right?
$3 rebuy satelite tourney on stars for a seat to the $500K guaranteed. Blinds are 400/800 and I have T30,276 villian is in the small blind with T23,320 . Everyone folds to me on the button and I raise to T1,600 with KJ hearts. Only the villian calls.
Flop 7h Qh Ks. Villian leads out for T1,600 and I rasie to T3,200 which he calls. Turn brings the board to 7h Qh Ks Jc. Villian bets T1,600 and I raise to T10,000..he calls. River brings the board to 7h Qh Ks Jc As. Villian bets T3,200 and I call. He shows Qc Ad and beats out my lower 2 pair. After reviewing the hand I think I need to raise more on the flop. Any tips? Thanks! |

Re: Did I play this right?
Yes, definitely raise more on the flop, maybe to something around T8000. You hit this flop hard, but you'd like to take it down right now. If he calls, move in on the turn.
Also, make it T2400 preflop. |

Re: Did I play this right?
Raise more preflop (2400 or so). Make more than a minimum raise postflop. I would raise about the size of the pot- 4500-5000. Your minimum raise of 1600 is pricing him in to call with a lot of hands.
