Girlfriend spilt water on ToP... (lc)

About 2 months ago I loan 2 of my poker books to my girlfriend, whom I've taught to play. Well yesterday we were at the bookstore and she picked up at copy of ToP and was like "I have to buy you a new one" I was all "Why?" and she said she spilled some water on the other one. I of course felt bad and wouldn't let her buy me a new one until I inspected the old one (she does not make much money, I make a comfortable living). She said the damage wasn't that bad however I am VERY meticulous about my stuff and she is a complete clutz (she's always falling down or dropping stuff or hurting herself, etc) so I wasn't that surprised it happened.

Anyway today I picked it up and it isn't that bad, basically the last 20 or so pages and back cover are a little warped but everything is perfectly legible. I have it on a flat surface with as many books and large heavy objects as I can find piled on top of it, in an attempt to flatten it out as much as possible.

But this raised the question, what would you do to your girlfriend if she trashed your poker books? Or say accidentally deleted your Poker Tracker database, etc.

Your question somehow assumes that most of us are able to get girlfriends.

A single book is an accident, so that's forgivable and is a friendly SIIHP. The entire collection is vindictive which means I'll SIIHP then have her on the street. Erasing my database means she's gone out of her way to harm my immediate profits, which means I'll SIIHP, SIIHfriendsP, and maybe even SIIHcatsP.

Clumsy girls are so cute, I love that mine's clumsy.

As far as the books go, lots and lots of "I'm sorry" sex sounds good.

As far as my PT database goes... well, I wouldn't let my girlfriend anywhere near my computer in the first place. I'd be more worried about her getting on the web and loading up my system with 100 or so spyware / adware programs.

I'm not very trusting of the girl / computer mix. No, if she wants to use a computer, she's getting her own. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
