20/40 vs. Solid player
Seat 5 in this hand is one of the most solid, never out of line players on Party, and is also a good hand reader. I also think he's unlikely to reraise on 3rd without the goods, which is why I did not put him on a flush YET on 5th. Should I have waited for 6th street and tried to checkraise unless he caught another heart? Any other lines to make my hand less transparent? (BTW, I think I play overaggressive and slightly loose enough that he can't quite peg me on aces yet on 3rd.)

Re: 20/40 vs. ?
In addition to not revealing my own screen name, in general I don't like to talk about other people's screen names either. Old fashioned, I know. But since you know the players in this game, think of one of the most regular, most solid, and slightly unimaginative players, and you'll probably be right.

Hello,Bartolow! His most likely hand on 5th is K\'s up ...
It seems as if he's trying to represent a flush. However,I do not think he has one.
Nice raise on 5th.. EVEN if he does have the flush! SittingBull |

Re: 20/40 vs. Solid player
I often just call the raise on 3rd street to raise on fifth.
I can see no reason for not raising 5th.. If he's got the flush,(unlikely), you've got LIVE outs. If he doesn't cool, maybe he has four, and he will pay to see more cards, which would probably be a mistake if he knew you had trips. |

Re: 20/40 vs. Solid player
After we've put in 5 bets already on 5th, it's hard for it to be wrong for him to continue with a 4 flush I would think.
I also often just call the raise on 3rd. I thought Percy might be more fooled if I fastplayed, and I hate losing action by catching scary later. Hard to find a way that will really keep him in the dark though, in my experience. |
